Church Camp & Mission Trip

I went for church camp at Bukit Tinggi, Pahang in Malaysia from 8-11 June ! Our hotel was like a castle lo ! Haha. Super nice place and I was in Pastor Joseph's group. Through all these interaction with him, I realised I get to know him better not just as a pastor, but also as a spiritual father, as a friend. Interaction i.e. communication is indeed important to keep any sort of relationship (be it friendship, bgr, kinship) bonded. *This reaffirms what I've always believed in. Without communication, there is no relationship to talk about* Once there is communication breakdown, the relationship will be more susceptible to external 'attacks' and will not be able to withstand hardships.

Beautiful Castle !!!

At rabbit farm :)

Beautiful night lights

Through this church camp, one thing that I've got out of is that, in order to follow Christ, I need to 'get my feet dirty'. And to me, it means seriously putting my desires into actions. No point thinking of wanting to draw closer to God yet I keep my hands folded close to my chest ! Hence, I took a step of faith (I don't know if that's really called faith or mere blind faith!) and went for the China mission trip to Kunming with my church from 22-29 June. I have no idea why I went, and I didn't know how I went about signing up as well. But after the trip, what I got was, here in Singapore, people are indeed blessed yet they have no idea how fortunate they are compared to those in other parts of the world. I was telling Jacintha that I feel I've finally opened my eyes and 'grown up' in that few days when we were in China.

Beautiful sunset in Kunming !

At the village...

The kitchens of many villagers. This is considered pretty alright already. We have not seen worse ones yet.

After an afternoon of Captain's Ball, here's presenting to all - The Meng Yang Church!

At the leprosy village...

Embracing their culture !!! Haha...

Stone Forest of Kunming !!!

Lunch at Kunming fried rice place. One plate of fried rice is RMB6 = S$1.20. And the plate of rice is seriously HUGE...

A very enriching trip indeed !!!
