Happy 24th Birthday Chermaine !!! :)

It was a wonderful Saturday yesterday! Early in the morning at 10, I went to the zoo for a church event organised by Life Community; where I befriended kids who had a little family problems. This is 7-year-old Andy, 1 of the 3 kids that I was assigned to. He left me a deep impact during the outing and through him, I felt that I was indeed very blessed to have my family with me.

He's cute isn't he???!!! :)

Then I went for Chermaine's 24th birthday party in the evening and the dress code was TRIBAL FUSION!!! I made do with a seemingly tribal dress and enjoyed the evening with the sumptuous dinner prepared by Chermaine's mom. Her mee siam was FANTASTIC, and the strawberry cheesecake was AMAZING!!! I wonder if her mom wants another god-daughter. Kekeke.

Happy Birthday Chermaine !!! :)

Overwhelming Disappointment & Sadness...

I've lost to a man's ego. Oh well, I've thought too highly of myself, always, and I never learnt my lesson. I guess it's time to get myself out of this sugar coated matrix that I've been in for the past 3 months.

Descartes: I think therefore I am

I guess it doesn't apply to me. Whatever I think, doesn't really make who I am, at least not in this case :(

Why Why Why??? :(

Sometimes, it's really trivial matters that we all get so worked up over. I think, it's time to grow up. It's probably just a simple picture, or little words of appreciation. We are all human beings isn't it? We do hope to receive some reciprocation sometimes. I think when one faces an over dosage of disappointment and rejection, he/she will be xin1 hui1 yi4 leng4, and gradually, signs of 'withdrawal' will show, followed by nonchalance, and then finally, drifting apart. That's how rship normally ends... Right?

It's silly isn't it? That small, insignificant things can often cause 'severe' consequences...

Oh well, I took bus today. I know it's no big deal, but it's really been a long while since I took public transport. It was about 40mins ride on bus 13. I wasn't very sure cause I didn't keep track of duration of the journey. And I had a little crap encounter with this old man who was sitting behind me. He suddenly started talking to me, whispering things into my ear. And not being in a good mood, I gave him a real hard, cold diao and turned back to the front. He stopped talking of course, and alighted a few stops later with his 2 other friends. I deliberately looked away and continued my ride back home. I was the last person to alight at the YCK interchange and on my way walking up from MRT station back home, I felt my feet aching like mad. It's seriously tedious to walk on high heels, and not to mention those dimly lit street lamps that were not helping by creating an eerie atmosphere for me. I was close to jogging up the slope to get home. Thank God I reached home safe and sound :)

But I have one more request for God though. Can He take away my disappointment, high expectations on others and SCHOOL ASSIGNMENTS??? I'm dying and I can't seem to concentrate :(

I guess... people do change...

It's amazing how people can maintain relationships despite the fact that people do change. With new 'stimulus' coming into our everyday life, how can one still stay committed and convicted? This, I'm referring to both BGRs and our relationship with God.

People can like and not like a person anymore as quickly as a snap. Similarly, people can also 'fall out' with God when things do not go well for them, which also means, backslide in this case. How can we then learn to stay committed regardless of who the other party is?

One example I would like to share is Eugene and CK's relationship. They've been together for about 4 years. And now that Eugene has gone to UK for 4 years, it must be tough on both of them in this long-d relationship. One thing CK shared was that before Eugene left for UK, he constantly told her about this 'triangle' thing which I do not know what it is, but I assume it must be something related to God. I think what Eugene wanted to tell her was that, no matter how tough times are, God will always be there and we can safely rely on Him as their relationship not only consists of the 2 of them, but God as well.

However, I'm sure Eugene also makes a constant effort to keep in contact with CK as often as he can, because in a relationship, COMMUNICATION IS VERY IMPORTANT. I used to tell my ex-es that I need at least 1 sms/day, because I want to know how the other party is doing and whether he's still alive and kicking. And I realised, that is also the best way, to see if the other party is still interested in this relationship or not.

Guys who tend to keep everything to themselves, I guess, are definitely not the type for me. When communication breaks down, no matter what the guy THINKS in that teeny-weeny brain of his, it doesn't mean anything because no one can read his mind except for himself. Communicating what he's feeling is probably the pillar of the whole relationship, and I guess when the guys stops 'communicating', it sort of marks the end of the relationship already. For me, I think the best way is kuai4 dao1 zhan3 luan4 ma3, which means to end it quick and swift. Any sense of unfaithfulness or lack of interest will send me the signal that it's time to end this relationship. I guess, this is why my relationships often do not work out cause I need too much attention. (Is 1sms/day really too much?) And I've also concluded that it's cause of such a weird personality of mine that I tend to backslide more often when I can't feel God around me.

I guess, ultimately I have to learn to reconcile with that and probably have more faith in my future partner and God. At least one comforting thing for me is that God answers all prayers, just that it's a matter of maturity in spiritual level to hear His answers. But what about future partners? Can I have the same reassurance that they too will 'answer' me?

Wonderful Sunday :)

It was our young adults cell group in charge of refreshements for service today. So we went to cater from Alan's mom and it was a success! :) Everyone was saying that the food was really good and that we did a great job coordinating. Kekeke. Really happy. Initially when I agreed to commit to God for one year during the youth camp, I was pretty uncertain how I could 'commit to God' and serve Him. I guess God has already planned the way He wants me to be already and all I have to do is just to follow what He says. Though I'm like super cui, but I guess so long I do my small little part and an1 fen4 shou3 ji3 can already. Haha.

Then after that was prayer meeting and Pastor Joseph suddenly chu1 stunt and ask me to close in prayer -_-''' Heart attack sia... Then he asked CK also, but none of us were ready. Haha. Then in the end he anyhow shoot Edmund to close. So funny :p

And after that I went for Rhys's daughter's (Clyde) man3 yue4. I shared presents with Ade Chermaine Michelle Kenley & Shaun. Haha. The baby was so cute!!! With short little curly hair. Kekeke. Inherited from the father of course. Hah.

Rhys and his baby girl Clyde :) So cute!!!

STRESSED...

Die... My one-week holiday ended so quickly that I didn't even realised that I was having a holiday!!! I was still going to school everyday except Thursday. And the irony is that on normal school term, I was only having a 3-day week!!! Why do I have to go school more often during my holiday than school term???!!! Peng...

And I seriously have tons of hw not done. Actually it's not like I literally have TONS, but I do have a few pieces of assignments which are quite tough and taxing :( And not to mention my mid terms which I have to study for. Die la. Think I need to camp in school already lo. EDISON!!! YOU BETTER LET ME LEND ME YOUR HOSTEL ROOM IN CASE I FAINT IN SCHOOL DUE TO LACK OF SLP!!! I'm so DEAD...

But... stress aside, I cannot afford to let my stomach go hungry. So one good thing is that I'm meeting my church friends later for CRAB at AMK ave 3 there!!! MUAHAHAHA...
